In John’s Gospel, we are given an insight into the deceitfulness
of the heart.  We shall refer to but a few instances to
be found there. Sufficient now to remark that when deceitfulness
is unmasked by inspired truth the result is ever an
unexpected one. John’s Gospel abounds with unexpected
things, some of which we will endeavor to point out.
